Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off

If you love ribs, don't miss this event!

Thousands of visitors make their way to Victorian Square in Sparks each Labor Day Weekend to experience the biggest and most prestigious rib cook-off in the United States. The 2012 Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off features 24 of the nation's top rib-cookers, each vying for the highly coveted first place trophy, cash prizes and the People's Choice Award.

The event runs from Wednesday through Monday and is the perfect way to say goodbye to summer.… Show more Delight in finger-licking ribs with the country's best cooks, shop hundreds of craft and vendor booths and enjoy free entertainment, including nightly headline acts on the Main Concert Stage. All food booths will be open from 11:00am-9:00pm on Wednesday-Sunday, and from 11:00am-5:00pm on Monday. Food and concessions will be available during event hours only. There is also a Kids Area that is open daily.

John Ascuaga's Nugget announced an all-star line-up, including country favorite, Gloriana, and 90's hit-band the Spin Doctors. More than 40 bands will play on multiple stages during the six-day Victorian Square event. The bands listed below will peform on the Main Stage. No tickets are required; enjoy the bands free of charge!
