El Rio thinks of themselves as a mix between a bar and a community center. They have two indoor spaces and an outdoor patio with heaters.
They do live(big band and acoustic) and dj music, film and art showings, comedy, drag, spoken word, jams and fundraisers to no end.
They are not a restaurant but often do free bbqs (Fridays and Sundays) and oysters(Fridays) on the patio.
Folks are welcome to bring in food; just clean up afterwards.
