Richmond Art Center

The Richmond Art Center's Exhibition Program showcases challenging work by emerging and mid-career Bay Area artists in over 6,000 square feet of gallery space and a sculpture courtyard. and gallery tours, workshops and events are developed in conjunction with our Education Program, offering the public opportunities to explore and learn about artists and the process of art making. The Community Gallery, located in the education wing, offers space for original work by local artists, students, faculty and community groups in an open, non-competitive format.

Historically, the Richmond Art Center has been the first Bay Area institution to recognize important regional artists early in their careers. Past exhibitions of noted Bay Area artists have included Roy De Forest, Squeak Carnwath, Hung Liu, Enrique Chagoya, JoeSam., and Tom Marioni.
