"110 in the Shade"
In the middle of a heat wave in 1930’s Texas, Lizzie Curry is on the verge of becoming a hopeless old maid. But, when a rainmaker named Starbuck comes to town, Lizzie's family’s life and world is turned upside down. Based on N. Richard Nash’s 1954 play "The Rainmaker," this musical version (featuring book by N. Richard Nash, music by Harvey Schmidt and lyrics by Tom Jones) includes beautiful ballads and raucous ensemble numbers. Directed by Elly Lichenstein with musical direction by Mary Chun.
