TOMALES FUND-RAISING GALA AT HERZOG HALL

The Tomales High School Booster Club will hold its annual fund-raising gala Saturday night at Herzog Hall in Petaluma.

Tickets, priced at $75 each, include an all-you-can-eat dinner, open bar, dancing, a silent auction and drawing. All proceeds go to the Tomales High School Booster Club to benefit Tomales school programs.

The event runs from 6 p.m. to midnight.

BEYOND THE GLORY HELPS CASA BASEBALL

There will be fundraising events for the Casa Grande High School baseball programs for the next two consecutive Tuesdays at the Beyond the Glory Sports Bar and Grill, 1371 North McDowell Blvd.

Beyond the Glory will donate 20 percent of the proceeds from meals purchased from a select menu from 5 to 10 p.m. to the Casa baseball programs on both nights. Casa freshmen and sophomores will benefit from the proceeds on Feb. 13 and juniors and seniors from the proceeds on Feb. 20.

In addition, each night there will be a raffle and Gaucho gear for sale.

GOLFERS WELCOME

The Petaluma High School boys golf team, under the direction of new head coach Alan Brownlie, has started practice for the spring season.

The team practices afternoons at 3:30 at the Rooster Run Golf Course. Players are welcome to try out for the team any afternoon at the golf course.

CALIFORNIA HAZE HOLDS TRYOUTS

The California Haze fastpitch softball program will hold tryouts for 12 and under players on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. at Petaluma High School.

ORIGINAL LITTLE LEAGUERS SOUGHT

If you can remember when Petaluma had just four Little League teams, and played games at McNear Park, and you were a player on one of those squads you?re invited to the 50-year celebration of Little League baseball in Petaluma.

Players and coaches from 1957 and 1958, the first year at the new Little League diamond at Kenilworth Park, are welcome to attend. Please bring memories, photographs, and copies of scrapbook stories from that era.

The golden anniversary reunion will be held at Mario & John?s Tavern, Saturday at 2 p.m.

SAFE BOATING CLASSES OFFERED

The Marin Power & Sail Squadron, a non-profit community group, is offering a tuition-free U.S. Coast Guard-approved safe boating class, ?Boat Smart,? at the Kell Educational Center, 789 North Hamilton Road in Novato on March 13, 14, 20 and 21. Each class runs from 7 to 9 p.m.
