Crafts fair a success

EDITOR: Thank you very much for the article in the Nov. 11 Argus-Courier about the 23rd annual Petaluma Arts & Crafts Faire on Nov. 13-14.

Judging from the feedback from exhibitors and attendees alike, it was a very successful event all around.

On behalf of all the exhibitors and myself, I would also like to thank the community for their generous support of the charitable organizations that the exhibitors sponsored with this event. Billy Bartz, food drive and events coordinator for the Redwood Empire Food Bank, reports that $895 plus 26 pounds of food were donated on Saturday, enough to provide 2,327 meals for neighbors in need. And Arnie Cohen of The Carousel Fund reports that more than $900 was donated on Sunday to help Petaluma children suffering catastrophic illness. What a great community, this Petaluma!

Again, a big hearty thank you from all of us.

Peter Biskup, Petaluma
