REFUSENIK (documentary – US)
Refusnik is a documentary about the triumph of
American grassroots activism that became a global campaign to free Soviet Jewry. What started as a fledgling movement of students and housewives became, over the course of 30 years, one of the most successful human rights campaigns in history. By 1992, one and a half million Jews were freed.
Filmmaker Laura Bialis (or stand-in) will speak after the 7:15 pm show in Santa Rosa.
